On Wednesday June 10th the Nanaimo RCMP was honoured with receiving not one but two beautiful and thoughtful gifts from members of the public. Firstly, what a cake! Linda, first name only, wanted to let the officers and staff of the detachment know how much they were appreciated. She said after listening to all the negative rhetoric and watching what was happening south of the border, she needed to do something. The cake, measuring 2 feet by 2 feet, was delivered yesterday afternoon and by 7 am today, it was gone.Thank you Linda.
Now the sweets. In an unrelated gesture Alisha Zacharias delivered a variety of sweets and a handwritten thoughtful note. Needless to say, her gesture was much appreciated during these trying times.
Lastly, from all the employees and officers of the Nanaimo RCMP detachment, thank you Linda and Alisha.
