On October 6th at pproximately 8 pm, a 46 year old male was bearsprayed then robbed. The incident took place near the picnic tables in Bowen Park.

Adult male pepper sprayed and robbed by youths
A 46 year old male was pepper sprayed in the face then had his pack sacks stolen by a group of teens as he sat on a bench in a local park. The incident took place at approximately 8 pm on Thursday October 6th, near the picnic shelter in Bowen Park. The victim was treated for the effects of the pepper spray.
The victim told police he was relaxing on a park bench when a group of young adults, consisting of males and females approached. One male in the group made small talk with him and then without any warning he was hit in the face with a burst of pepper spray. One of the youths grabbed his pack sacks and the group ran off in the direction of the Howard Ave cemetery. Police along with a Police Services Dog (PDS) attended but were unable to locate the suspects.
PDS was able to find one of the victims bags behind Auto-Check, located at the intersection of Bowen Road and Howard Ave. The victim was not able to provide much description of the suspects other than the male who pepper sprayed him was white, in his early twenties and had light short coloured hair.
