Unsolved crimes from March 29th to April 6th

1. Nanaimo File # 2015-8169 On March 29th a vehicle parked next to the soccer fields at Beban soccer fields was broken into. A side window was smashed and taken was a purse containing credit cards. The credit cards were used minutes later at the Chevron Station at Norwell Drive. A passerby saw a male near the car and described him as being white with grey track pants and black hoodie pulled tight to his face.

 

2. Nanaimo File # 2015-8452 On Wednesday April 1st an electric scooter was stolen from outside 30 Prideaux St. The scooter is black with red lettering.

 

3. Nanaimo File # 2015-8558 On Thursday April 2nd a basement unit located at 828 Harborview Rd was entered. The suspect unscrewed the security lights before entering. It does not appear anything was taken or moved but the owners dog started barking around 3 am at which time, the owner got up and noticed the unit had been entered.

 

4.  Nanaimo File # 2015-8590 On Thursday April 2nd a 3-4 ft. high Monkey tree was stolen from the Harewood Dental Clinic located at 521 Deering St

 

5. Nanaimo File # 2015-8723 On Friday April 3rd a quantity of cash was found in the parking lot, about 20 feet from the TD Canada Trust ATM located at Terminal Park Mall. A Good Samaritan turned it over the Nanaimo RCMP for safe keeping. Because of the dominations, the money may not have been dispersed from the ATM.

 

6. Nanaimo File # 2015-8765 On Saturday April 4th a home in the 2600 block of Labieux Rd was broken into.  Point of entry was a second story bathroom window, accessed by a ladder taken from the back deck. Taken was a Sony Playstation 4 with serial # MB459036964.

 

7.  Nanaimo File # 2015-8840 On Sunday April 5th a shed located on the grounds of the German Cultural Centre on Caledonia Ave was broken into. Taken was a leaf blower, weed wacker and an aluminum extendable ladder.

 

8. Nanaimo File # 2015-8946 On Monday April 6th a bike was stolen from the parking lot of the Nanaimo Yacht club. The bike is a silver and blue Specialized Big Hit mountain bike with red and white rims.

 

9. Nanaimo File # 2015-8864 On Sunday April 5th a VW Jetta parked on the street outside 645 Selby St had its front passenger window smashed. It did not appear anything was taken.

 

10. Nanaimo File # 2015-8911 On Monday April 6th a break and enter was reported at Parker Marine  on East Wellington Rd. The break in occurred between Friday April 3rd and Monday April 6th. A fence surrounding the property had been cut allowing for access. Taken were 2 Seadoos, the trailer the Seadoos were on and 2 boat stereos.
