1. Nanaimo file # 2014-27894 On the evening of Wednesday October 1st a purse was stolen from the Patricia Bar located on Haliburton St. The suspect is a male with the first name of "Kevin". The purse was black with brass attachments.


2.  Nanaimo file # 2014-27956 On Wednesday October 1st a Schwen 21 speed bicycle with Shimano shifters, was stolen from a carport in the 300 block of Seventh St. The bike has a red/yellow/blue bike trailer with spoke wheels made for a child.


3. Nanaimo file # 2014-27937 On Wednesday October 1st a male stole over $200 of food from Save On Foods Brooks Landing. The suspect then ran from the store. He is thin, white, mid 30's and is missing one or two of his front teeth.


4. Nanaimo file # 2014-28150 On Friday October 3rd diesel was stolen from excavators at construction site on Westwood Rd. This is the third incident of diesel being stolen from this site.


5. Nanaimo file # 28106 On Friday October 3rd a theft that occurred on September 28th to a camper   parked in the 200 block of Sunrise Place was reported. Taken was a 32 flat screen TV.


6. Nanaimo file # 2014-28552 On Saturday October 7th three bikes were stolen from a home in the 900 block of Douglas St. One of the bikes was a 21 speed Giant with red/white with black handle grips. 


7.  Nanaimo file #2014-28723 On Monday October 9th a bomb threat was called into the International High School building at Vancouver Island University. The call was placed at approximately 4 pm and caused Building 345 and 350 to be evacuated for upwards of 2 hours.


8. Nanaimo file # 2014-29083 On Thursday October 12th a dog was taken from a front yard to a home in the 700 block of Victoria Rd. The owner checked with Animal Control and they have no records a dog being seized from that property. The dog is a 2.5 year old black/brown/grey border and wears pink and blue collars. The owner told police a man was seen near their home the day the dog went missing, getting out of an older grey Thunderbird with a yellow painted bumper, and walking towards the residence.


9. Nanaimo file # 2014-29095 On Monday October 13th a break and enter occurred at the “Looneyrama”  store located at University Village An alarm was activated at 1:20 pm after the front window was smashed.  It appears the only items taken were some lighters.
