Unsolved Crimes: From Sunday August 16 to Wednesday September 3rd


1.       Nanaimo file # 2014-23322 Sometime between August 16th and August 17th a 1999 ChrisCraft boat parked in a gravel lot at Anchorage Marina on Stewart Ave was broken into.  Suspects used a nearby ladder to access the boat then broke into a locked cabin. Taken were 2 marine flare guns, a set of Fuji Stabscope binoculars, a grey Pelican marine case, 4 inflatable red mustang life jackets and 2 duffle bags which were most likely used to carry the stolen items. 

2.       Nanaimo file # 2014-23322 Sometime overnight on Friday August 22nd a theft occurred from a white Interstate utility trailer, parked in the 400 block of Nicol St. Taken was a 4 foot Root chair valued at $400.


3.       Nanaimo file # 2014-23587 On Sunday August 24th two break ins were reported at the Esso Supershine, located at 2300 Northfield Rd. Suspects used a sledge hammer to smash open the coin drops causing over $5000 in damage. Video surveillance captured two males in a blue Chevrolet car with shiny silver rims, driving into the lot between 4 am and 5 am.


4.       Nanaimo file # 2014-23591 On Sunday August 24th a red Honda XL500 trail motorcycle was stolen from a barn , located in the 1500 block of White Rd. The bike was not insured and there were no plates attached.


5.       Nanaimo file # 2014-23938   On Thursday August 28th a white 2004 CPI Tracker scooter with Manitoba license 9EK85 was stolen from the front of a residence on Fillinger Crescent.


6.       Nanaimo file #2014-24392 On Sunday August 31st a theft was reported from a boat at 1956 Zorkin Rd. The theft most likely occurred within the past week. Taken was a Garmin GPS 378,  Humingbird wide vision fish finder, a pair of binoculars and a large green cloth tackle box full of tackle.


7.       Nanaimo file # 2014-24719 Sometime overnight a break on Wednesday September 3rd a theft occurred to a 1998 BMW Z3 convertible, parked on Poplar St.. The top on the convertible was slashed open , the glove box emptied and the dash was totally dismantled. Two other vehicles in the same lot were broken into on the same night.
