On Saturday June 21th at approximately 1:35 PM a 70 year old female had her purse stolen as she was leaving Bowen Park, near the intersection of Bowen Rd and Buttertubs Drive.

The female was walking with another female friend when a male suddenly appeared from behind them, grabbed her purse off her shoulder then proceeded to run across Bowen Rd towards Buttertubs Drive. He was last seen going into the parking lot at 999 Bowen Rd. Just prior to taking the purse the male threatened the female telling her he would burn her face. He had with him a red cylinder, possibly a fire extinguisher.

The male suspect is white, in his early twenties with short brown hair. He had a muscular build and was wearing a t-shirt with shorts, of which one leg of the shorts was red and the other green. Police dog services attended and lost the track in the area of Buttertubs Drive. There was a small amount of cash and some credit cards in the purse, which were later canceled.
