Unsolved Crimes - Information wanted!

The following are crimes that remain unsolved in Nanaimo and need the public's assistance in solving.

1.      On March 21, 2014, wires in junction boxes for streetlights along the Trans Canada Highway near the Duke Point turnoff, had been entered and the wires inside cut and an estimated 300 meters of aluminum wire stolen.     File 2014-6980


2.      On the evening of March 21, 2014, eggs were thrown at a residence on Glencraig Drive and a red Jeep Cherokee.   File 2014-7028


3.      A residence on Willowmere Cres was broken into on March 21, 2014.  The house was rummaged through and entry appears to have been made through the garage.   File 2014-7043


4.      On March 22, 2014, four bags were stolen from a parked Silver Toyota Matrix while parked on Wallace Street.  The bags, including a black duffel bag and Ikea bag were recovered a short time later however a Ipad Air remains outstanding as stolen.   File 2014-7064


5.      A Native male in his late 20's wearing a black ball cap, black jacket with white patch

on sleeve, black backpack and dark clothes had threw a rock at blue Jeep Patriot.  The male had become upset after he was caught shoplifting.  The incident occurred on the evening of March 22, 2014 near Albert St.  File 2014-7076



6.      Overnight to March 22, 2014, a black Chrysler 300, was broken into overnight on Concordia Place.  Possible suspects may have been associated to a dark colored Jeep Cherokee. Stolen was a pair of sunglasses, cooking knives and several $5 bills.   File 2014-7095

7.      In the early morning on March 24, 2014 a male was interrupted breaking into cars on Benson St. Male described as a white male in his 20's wearing a white checkered sweater with a baseball hat and backpack and riding a mountain bike.   File 2014-7230.


8.      Overnight to March 25th, 2014 a business off Wallace St, VAPE 250 was broken into overnight. Stolen items are related to e-cigarettes (e-liquid, e-cig parts and batteries), a flat screen computer monitor and hand tools marked with initials "DK".   File 2014-7355


9.      An expensive  P3 black Mountain bike with red/gold decals  and his 12" subwoofer were stolen from Grey 2007 Hyundai Accent on March 25, 2014.   File 2014-7357


10.  On March 25, 2015 a healing stone was stolen from the COSSAR Gallery on Church St.  A male and female were in the business and the male took three items, 2 of which were recovered.   The male is described as Caucasian 5'8" medium built short dark brown hair wearing two tight stone necklaces carrying a black back pack. The female was described as Caucasian 5'3" with shoulder length light hair.   File 2014-7370
