Unsolved Jan 27 to Feb 3rd, 2014

The following are crimes that remain unsolved in Nanaimo and need the public's assistance in solving.

1.      On January 27th, 2014 around 8:30 am, 2 suspects entered the Windward Beer and Wine Store on Boundary Road, the 1st male distracted the cashier and the second loaded a backpack with cigarettes.  The 1st suspect is described as in his 40's, Caucasian, 5'7 to 6'0 tall, wearing a Montreal Canadians hat, a red jacket and an  orange shirt that states "4:20 Safety Meeting". The 2nd suspect is described as being Caucasian, 5'7 to 5'9 and was wearing black hoody, black sunglasses and a black hat.  File 2014-2260.

 

2.      Overnight to January 27th, 2 lab scales were stolen from a 2007 Black Nissan Frontier parked on Machleary St.  One scale model # MPD750 and the second model# i1200. File 2014-2264

 

3.      Between December 3 and January 22, 2014 approximately $20 thousand dollars of fuel was stolen from Columbia Fuels on Boban Dr using a stolen fuel card.   File 2014-2271.

 

4.      On January 27, 2014 around 10:30 am, a female, described as Caucasian, 5'4, 130 lbs, shoulder length brown hair with the top dyed blonde, 35 yrs old, wearing black pants, black boots, white shirt and white jacket, came into Island Rider Board Shop on Metral Dr and stole a brown with pink lined RDS Red Dragon hoody when the clerk was dealing with another customer. File 2014-2284.

 

 

5.      Approximately fifty 2x4’s of lumber were stolen from 9th St and Park Ave overnight to January 28th.  Ongoing issue at the construction site.  File 2014-2355

 

6.      On January 31st, 2014 at approximately 6 PM, a blue Haro 21 speed mountain bike was stolen from outside Canadian Tire on Uplands Dr.  The suspect is described as in his late 20's, wearing a grey hoody, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.  File 2014-2677

 

7.      Suspects graffittied a concrete sign in front of the Velvet Paw on Bowen Rd on February 1, 2014.  

 

8.      Between January 27 and February 1st, 2014 a black '96 F150, British Columbia license plate 0982KM was stolen from driveway on Menzies Ridge Dr. Vehicle is a regular cab short box with large 33" tires mounted on 16" polished aluminum rims. There is (was) an aluminum checker plate tool box in the back, and the front left tire is leaking air.  File 2014-2751

 

 

9.      On February 3rd 2014, a male stole three bottles of Absolute Peach Vodka from the Terminal Park Liquor Store on Estevan Road. Male described as white, 20's, 6', clean shaven, wearing grey parka with a grey toque and baggy jeans.  File 2014-2962

 

 

10.  On February 3rd, 2014 at 9:30 PM, a female, approx 22 years of age with a blonde hair in a ponytail, grey zip-up sweater and light coloured jeans stole a 26 oz bottle of Crown Royal whiskey from Harewood Arms Liquor Store on 8th St.  File 2014-2969
